SUPPORT
Need a hand?
Email [email protected] with what you were doing and, if you can, a screenshot. Please don’t attach drawings you aren’t allowed to share.
Getting started
- Open a drawing. Open a PDF from Files, or drop it onto the window on a Mac. Each document opens in its own tab.
- Pick a mode. Read, Annotate, Measure or Organize.
- Set the scale from the status line, or calibrate by drawing along a dimension you know and entering its length.
- Mark up with the tool rail. The Properties panel styles the selected markup, or the next one you draw.
- Save. Markups are standard PDF annotations, so the file opens anywhere.
Common questions
My markups don’t show in another app.
Save first. Annorite writes standard annotations that Preview and Acrobat display; a few viewers hide annotations by default, so check that viewer’s settings.
A measurement looks wrong.
Check that the scale on the status line matches the sheet, or calibrate against a dimension you trust. Each document keeps its own scale. Always verify critical dimensions against the project documentation.
The PDF is protected.
Annorite never changes a protected original. Your markups go into a separate file beside it, and opening either one brings back both.
